Bruin Bucks FAQ

Q. What are “Bruin Bucks”?
A. Bruin Bucks are dollars on a declining balance account that will carry over from semester to semester. Students may use their Bruin Bucks with their Belmont University student ID card. It works much like a “check card”.

Q. Where can Bruin Bucks be used?
A. Bruin Bucks can be redeemed at the six food service locations managed by BU food. These include two convenience stores (The Corner Court and What’s Bruin), three quick-service restaurants in the Curb Café (Pete’s Arena, Sky Ranch Grill, and Salsa Rico), and our all-you-care- to-eat Dining Hall in the Gabhart Student Center.

Q. How and when do we sign-up for Meal Plans and/or Bruin Bucks?
A. During the orientation process and before each semester, students and parents will have the opportunity to choose the plans that best fits their needs. For your convenience, you can sign up on-line through your BIC account. To add more Bruin Bucks during the semester, students should contact the BU Food Office.

Q. Where can I use the “meals” from the meal plan?
A. Meal plans may be used in the full service Dining Hall. The Dining Hall provides a wide range of offerings including traditional foods, Exhibition cooking, pizza, grilled items, a full salad bar and fabulous desserts.

Q. Why should I consider more Bruin Bucks?
A. More Bruin Bucks can take care of those mid-semester calls home for more money. Having Bruin Bucks will allow students to have money for food, snacks, and sundries with parental assurances that this money can only be used for those things. Additionally, with Bruin Bucks, you have the security of not having to carry cash or credit cards.

Q. How can I get more information?
A. You may call the BU Food Office at 615.460.6780 or email at dining@mail.belmont.edu. You may also visit us at our main office located in the Gabhart Student Center.
