Bruin Den Day

On April 4th, 2009 The Student Government Association hosted its annual Bruin Den Day Community Service event. Over 150 registered students from across Belmont’s campus convened Saturday morning where they received breakfast and a free t-shirt. Students then dispersed throughout a 3-mile radius of the Belmont Community.

Students served such organizations as Eakin Elementary, Carter Lawrence Elementary, Ronald McDonald House, Hospitality House, and Wedgewood Community Garden. Through Belmont's Student Government Association, Bruin Den Day provided a unique opportunity to give back to the surrounding Belmont area. Students perform outreach in a variety of ways on this day and thus are involved in engaging and transforming the Nashville community that we call home.

2009 Bruin Den Day
This Saturday, April 4th, Student Government Association will be hosting its annual Bruin Den Day Community Service event.

All participants should plan to arrive by 7:30 am to Belmont's Belltower. We will be providing breakfast and shirts (while supplies last) at that time.

After completing the check in process, each group will then depart to their individual work site.

After the completion of the projects at the Bruin Den Day sites, SGA will be providing lunch at 12 pm at the Belmont's Belltower to those who participated.

Four credit hours of community service convocation will be given for this event.

Bruin Den Day Mission Statement:
When students come to Belmont, we become members of this community and thereby embrace the responsibility to support the neighborhoods that influence our holistic experience at the University. Through Belmont's Student Government Association, Bruin Den Day provides a unique opportunity to give back to the surrounding Belmont area. Students perform outreach in a variety of ways on this day and thus are involved in engaging and transforming the Nashville community that we
call home.
