Requirements

Artist/Band Eligibility

Lead vocalist/main artist must be a full-time Belmont University student at the time of the showcase.
At least two-thirds of the band must be currently enrolled full-time students at Belmont University.
Lead vocalist/main artist may not have participated in another showcase in the current series (excluding the ASCAP Writers’ Night Series).
Lead vocalist/main artist may not have won a CEMB showcase in the previous year (excluding the ASCAP Writers' Night Series).
Artist must have a band consisting of at least one other performing member.

Artist/Band Requirements

If artist has performed in a previous CEMB showcase, new material must be submitted. Previously performed material will not be accepted.
Artist must have a manager who is a full-time Belmont University student.
All band members and additional performers must attend Live Auditions, all rehearsals before the showcase, and any other promotional event or rehearsal deemed necessary by producer.
Artist must attend scheduled photo shoot. Artist has sole discretion to include the band in the photo shoot. Photography is not to be submitted with the application.

Song Submission

Artist/band will upload to original songs with application submission.
The artist/band will identify the cover song they wish to perform, but does not need a recorded version to upload. The producer has final say on whether a cover song is acceptable.

Limitations

There may be no more than six performers on stage at any given time. This does not include dancers. Additional performers and any non-band/vocalists must be approved by the producer. This includes anyone who was not present at the time of live auditions.
Musicians or vocalists may be alternated during the performance as long as the on-stage number of performing persons stays the same.

Manager Requirements

Manager must have knowledge of the band including who sings and what instruments are played by band members.
Manager must be available to attend all required meetings. These will generally take place during the 10am convocation hour. However, meetings may need to occur at other times.
Manager must be with the band at all events, including Live Auditions and the Showcase weekend. The manager must be in the building whenever the band is required to be there.

***All requests on behalf of the artist must come through the manager! The Producer and Associate Producer will not talk to the artist about any requests or issues!

As a representative of the above-mentioned artist/band, I understand, as does my management, that if any guidelines are violated, we will be disqualified from the 2008-2009 Showcase Series.
