Educational Objectives of the Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business: 1) To provide a personalized, career-oriented and practical education that emphasizes leadership, innovation, private enterprise and entrepreneurship. 2) To equip students with the tools to think critically, communicate effectively, accept responsibility, make successful decisions, and prosper in diverse work environments. 3) To emphasize quality classroom instruction within the parameters of ethical Christian principles.
Course Description: Music Business Internship Lab (0). Prerequisites: MBU 1110, MBU 1380 and sophomore standing or 12 hours of credit in residence at Belmont for transfer students. Internship lab is a computer/lecture-centered, career-oriented course covering basic business communication skills and music industry administration. Interviewing skills, internship expectations, career-building methodology and networking techniques in the music business are also covered.

ú Exercise networking skills through interaction with industry leaders
ú Exercise interview skills through mock interviews/speed networking
ú Complete professional quality documents including cover letter, resume, and professional references
ú Submit/upload professional documents onto Career Connector
ú Locate available internships and/or jobs through the Career Services database (Career Connector) and networking opportunities
