Associate Producer Application

students that have been involved in the Belmont Showcase Series for one
year or more will be considered for this position.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS Producer
This person will report directly to the CEMB Coordinator of Student
Enrichment and will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all
aspects of the productions. Job requirements and duties include:
• Must be a full-time CEMB student
• Must have and maintain a 2.8 GPA
• Must have experience with the CEMB Showcase Series
• Oversee all aspects of the showcase production
• Register for the Showcase Practicum during the
semester of your show
o Attend weekly practicum meetings with the
Coordinator of Student Enrichment
• Create a vision for the individual showcase and the
series as a whole
• Responsible for all events surrounding the assigned
production including all audition processes
• Maintain and manage the budget within their
production, including seeking sponsorships
• Work with Production Staff Coordinator in managing
production staff involvement including load-in and load-out. The
Producer must be present in the venue until it is cleared and properly
reset to its original condition
• Directly oversee the Associate Producer and
Production Manager
• Provide a professional setting worthy of hosting
industry guests
• Increase knowledge through practical application of
all areas of production
• Responsible for the organization of MBU/EIS/SNG
4000 seminar attendance and facilitating the scanning process
• Communicate with all individuals of production
regarding all aspects of the showcase including contacting key people
regarding venue, sound, lights, production staff and marketing (this
will be done in collaboration with the Production Manager)
• Membership in the Producer Council:
o Create an overall vision for the six-show series
o Collaborate on every showcase and determine the
rules, guidelines and production procedures that govern each
production, this includes day of show for each production
o Provide a forum of producers to exchange ideas and
solve problems
o Act as final authority on all showcase matters
o Provide a positive and professional environment for
growth in concert production
o Attend meeting two weeks before and one week after
each show
• Membership in Showcase Council
Associate Producer
This person would report directly to the show Producer and is
responsible for assisting the Producer in all of the above. Job
requirements and duties include:
• Must be a full-time CEMB student
• Must have and maintain a 2.8 GPA
• Liaison between Producer and Production Assistants
• Membership in Showcase Council
