Table of Contents

This site is a guide to internet sites that post images of manuscripts, buildings, high crosses, artifacts, coins, sites and other materials related to Anglo-Saxon England. This directory was begun during the course of the 1999 National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute
on Anglo-Saxon England directed by Paul E. Szarmach at Western Michigan University. Larry Swain at Western Michigan has my sincere thanks for his work on an earlier version of this guide that was posted at W.M.U. This site supercedes the older one, and you should adjust your bookmarks or other references to it accordingly.

The links generally take one directly to the page with the image indicated. The links are active as of the date at the bottom of each page. Please contact me with information regarding these site links or other sites that I may reference here.

If you should have images of objects or sites that are directly related to Anglo-Saxon England and would like me to post these on a page connected to this directory, please e-mail me GIF or JPEG file attachments, with appropriate information about the image, including your name and title.

I will not post anonymous images.
I will not post images taken from
  books or other copyrighted sources.
I will also not post images of
  commercial or other reproduction
  items, or re-enactor scenes, unless
they took place at an authentic
  historical site.
